It has relevant examples which give more understanding on the challenges and solutions affecting the youths with disabilities and how they can be addressed in transition planning. Although the book appears to be small in size, the topics covered are wide and leave no question answered in terms of transition assessment. I like how the book builds the topic of transition assessment. It take the reader from what is actual known such what is a disabled to other wider topics such as transition planning guide for post-secondary and lifelong learning. This book also provides and explains a wide variety of transition assessment tools such as employment, lifelong education and training, home living, community participation, recreation and leisure, personal life and situational assessment. Try this website, it has addressed the topic on transition planning for individuals with learning disabilities with utmost professionalism. It adequately defines the meaning of transition in relation to the people leaving with disabilities. The definition is also in line with the 1997 amendments to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. What I love about this article is the choice of using few words to explain thus going straight to the point more often.
