H) Side Effects (52, 53) Itching, burning, or pain at the site of application may occur, skin and mucous membranes like gums may turn blue or gray. Some serious side effects as described below may also occur: symptoms of infection (like chills, fever, constant sore throat), symptoms of anemia (like abnormal weakness, fast breathing, rapid heartbeat), changes in the quantity of urine, bloody or pink urine, symptoms of liver problems (like abdominal pain, constant nausea, vomiting, dark urine, yellowing eyes and skin), mental i.e. mood changes. Several cases of transient leukopenia have been reported in patients receiving AgSd therapy. A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, immediate medical attention is needed
