Instead of being the predators that some mistakenly consider them, transgender people are among some of the most prosecuted themselves. In a study from UCLA William’s Institute, almost “seventy percent of survey respondents reported being denied access, verbally harassed, or physically assaulted in public restrooms” (Herman, 65).
