These Americans often think that if the masses accepts trans people, then they’d be going against their religion and morals. They feel that if they allow the prosperity and happiness of this community happen, they will automatically be committing sin in the eyes of God, they will be shunned just as the trans community is, or they will be compromising their morals. None of these cases are accurate, though. By accepting the choices of everyone and allowing them to be whom they wish to be, it is not compromising one’s morals or faith being that that person is not partaking in the choices, but rather choosing not to judge them. By supporting the transgender community, one is less likely to be shunned for it since numerous people are accepting the transgender community for whom they wish to be. Positive attitudes are more likely to receive positive feedback than negative ones. In a religious sense, God will not punish you for treating his fellow children with humility and respect. Just because one may be a mature person and accept everyone as a whole, regardless of what controversial choices they have made, does not automatically mean they they are partaking in the sin they feel is occurring. The transgender community, or anyone else’s choices are no ones but theirs, and every person has the ability to think for themselves. One does not have to be transgender to support those who are. For example, my boyfriend is trans, though I am not. I support him 100 percent and am okay with what choices he may establish in the future. With love and compassion comes acceptance, and that is what this world desperately needs right
