An overwhelming forty one percent of transgender people, that responded to the “National Transgender Discrimination Survey Report on Health and Health Care” have reported to attempting suicide because of being discriminated against. There is a twenty eight percent rate of transgenders postponing their medical care, because they did not want to deal with discrimination. A majority of them were told that they needed major surgeries, and they still have not gotten them (Harrison). Jason was an employee at Ivy League University for two years. A federal investigation found that Army officials were discriminating against a transgender employee that had a sex change while working at an installation in Alabama. The investigation shows that she was restricted from the women 's bathroom, and was called by her male name, despite the fact of her being a women (Alman). Transgenders can get discriminated against almost anywhere, and it needs to stop.

Some recommendations to ending Transgender Discrimination are medical establishments fully integrating trans-sensitive care into professional standards, if a doctor harasses or assaults a trans person, they should be disciplined and held accountable, public and private insurance systems cover transgender related care that is essential to all health, there should also be transgender education, health care, and recovery programs made.
