SUBJECT: Transforming the Organization
Introduction
Information systems are a vital part of the organization. Enterprise resource planning (ERP) in particular brings a lot of changes, which plays an important role in our efforts to eliminate shadow IT from the agency. It is essential for the organization to run as fast as possible in the implementing of the system so as the benefits can be felt.
The implementation work will be done in steps, which will be monitored, and the progress tracked. This would be a step forward in making sure that every action that is taken is the correct step. It would help in minimizing the actions that might be repeated due to error or duplication of roles (Basu, …show more content…
The core services will be in my hand. I will organize the work according to priority. Services that require much preference would be the ones to be finished first. I would also look at the possibility of making sure that the system can be used even if it has not been fully implemented. This would be the testing ground for the order to make sure that the services that have been installed are working correctly.
The work will be completed in time, and there would be no delays experienced unless if it would be necessary. There would also be the need to allocate more people to be able to manage and finish the work with ease. It would be great as the more human resource that is available would be able to cover up in case of any unforeseen circumstances that will happen that have not been planned for.
There would also be the need for more time. This is to ensure that the system implementation is well tested and it is ready for the organization. Also, the time would be used to fix any problems and cater for the time that might be wasted in the process of implementation. They are several circumstances that can arise and it would be better if none were left unchecked. This is to manage and deliver a sound …show more content…
The trainers would train the staff on how to use the new software and the system in general. This would make sure that the staff would be able to use software with ease. Also, there would need to have support staff that would be monitoring the software and troubleshooting whenever a problem arises. They would also be the ones that would guide new workers for a specified period to make sure that a person manages to understand the system entirely.
The implementation would be done in phases. This would be made so as the staff could be able to continue their work without any problem (Connelly et al., 2016). Only a few machines in every department would be upgraded under each phase to make sure that they have several other devices that they can work with. I do not except any resistance in any way from the staff. However, some of them could resist the new systems with the thought of losing their jobs. We would make sure that they understand every little bit that they are not to be replaced but their work is meant to be
