Employees and managers must have the ability to listen and collaborate effectively. Quantum leadership is a state of constant change and is all about the relationships. Managers must manage the relationships of people to change how people respond to change. It requires a broad vision, relationship building within communication networks, coordinated interface between the employees and structure of the workplace. The current workforce is higher educated, complex and rapidly changing. It requires the work of quantum leadership to be primarily focused on creativity and interpersonal communication. New age leadership focuses on different values, interactions and intersections in the workplace. Employees are more self directed, the workplace is global and the pace and demand of change has increased dramatically. The technology age has brought a host of challenges and changes in how people communicate including instant communication, unbounded relationships, globalization of economics and new mechanisms of knowledge management. People must identify their job within a set of relationships with others and the outcomes of those relationships instead of job functions. The leader must exemplify the constant and continuous change as a normal part of leadership. A transformational leadership approach is congruent with my current work environment, the Operating Room and the Medical Device Reprocessing Department. The staff members in this area must
