According to John (1998), the transformational learning has emerged as a very powerful tool of understanding how adult learn. This form of learning reflects a particular vision and conceptual framework of understanding and how learning happens in adults. Ideally, this form of learning constitutes three key components;
1. The physiological component which defines change of one understands about him or her.
2. Convictional component. This component acts a form of revision on ones beliefs.
3. The behavioral component. This component defines the changes in lifestyle

His life in college met every form of hard hurdles to the extent of attempting to halt his after-high school education. To our surprise, no one was aware of what was going through Eric’s life. Life grew hard day in day out. In one cold morning, Eric walked into my room, sat on my bed and sought my audience. As a friend I had known for some good number of years, I had no option but to listen to Eric, my friend. Eric opened up to me “Miriam, today I have decided to share my story with you. I have been disturbed for a while by my performance in school.Everytime I report to my mum and Dad about my results, the gift I get in return is harsh coated insults that never encourage me to work harder, the thing is I perform so poorly that I don’t display the meaning of my presence in school.
