Yes, I do in part but have separate theories and influences processes. I believe Charismatic and transformational leadership theories appear to suggest both styles are always effective. The reason why this is true, both leadership style is capable of starting (implementing) and maintaining (keep at a constant level) of change in the organization. Both styles cause change they are a change agent. Transformational and Charismatic fits all cultures. According to Vergauwe, Wille, Hofmans, Kaiser, & De Fruyt, (2018) leaders who are low on charisma are less effective lacks strategic behavior and high charisma are less effective and lack operational behavior. The orientation for Transformational is a possible servant, while Charismatic is a heroic image. The power orientation is different for the leadership style as for Transformational leadership power is shared and is not problematic. Charismatic leadership is personal power and succession is problematic. Transformational leadership influence processes, exchange and power sharing. Charismatic leadership processes, to enable identification, to identify distinctive influence process. The influence process has a great deal to do with the persona, self-concept and different goals, which are valued by the leader. If the persona of two leadership is different then the values and the behavior will be different. The downside of the Charismatic leadership style may not always work for the best interest of the organization. Transformational leaders inspire their followers to follow their inspiration to add to the organization or team. In context transformational leadership requires learning, development, and employees to outperform others (Hamstra, Van Yperen, Wisse, & Sassenberge, 2014).
