Transactional Leadership Theories
Transformational theory can be used to resolve the population health and supplies issue. The reason is that all stakeholders can be invited for dialogue, and since they understand the challenges they are facing, they would be able to share ideas that can help solve the situation. The fact that the leaders and other stakeholders would work together in resolving the issue would be a highly motivating and job satisfying element that can see the supply issue being solved permanently (Abuorabl & Liverpool John Moores University, 2012).

The transactional leadership theory is effective in crisis and emergency situations, as well as when projects need to be carried out in a particular way. The transactional leadership theory is more practical in nature because of its emphasis on meeting specific targets or objectives (Robbins & Davidhizar, 2007).

Transformational and transactional leadership theories are not mutually exclusive, and some combination of both may enhance effective leadership in an organization.
