Healthcare organizations must thrive in an environment characterized by uncertainty and unpredictability because of constant technological, social, political, and economic changes. These ever-changing environments necessitate the need for effective leaders to guide them through the changes, thereby insuring both desirable organizational outcomes, as well as improved employee and client satisfaction. “Now more than ever, the need for transformational leadership is critical.” (Roussel, Thomas, & Harris, 2016, p. 31).
