Hi I am Suresh and I am Paramjit and we are from the Correct Weight Loss team. Today we are going to talk about nutrition tips to burn belly fat. Lets run through some very quick burn belly fat diet tips.
Avoid Refined Carbs [0:00:16.8]
[Paramjit] The first thing we want to touch on are refined carbs. This is the biggest evil of the modern world. Refined carbs actually cause metabolic syndrome.
[Suresh] First of all when you talk about refined carbs, can you please define it a bit more compared to other kinds of carbs.
[Paramjit] Refined carbs are all processed carbs. An example of this is white flour and white bread. Any carb that has changed its form as compared to its natural state is a refined carb.

We are in an age where a lot of our food contains sugar and you may not even know about it. This includes sauces and drinks, especially carbonated drinks. People tend to think of sugar only in the form of the white grainy table sugar. There is sugar in a lot of food that we eat. Sugar has got to be reduced if you want to burn belly fat.
Avoid Trans-fats [0:02:01.1]
[Paramjit] Another evil of the modern world are the trans-fats.
[Suresh] How do you define trans fats?
[Param] Trans-fats are basically hydrogenated fats. These have been altered by a process called hydrogenation. It is a chemical process. When you do that to fat, it gives it longer shelf life. Longer shelf life is one of the main reasons for using trans fats. It is a commercially driven initiative. With that in mind, any food with hydrogenated fat can last longer than food without it. That is not healthy for the body. The body gets confused when you consume trans-fats. It creates havoc in the metabolism.
[Suresh] You want to avoid trans-fats to lose belly fat. Certain cities in the US have banned trans-fats. New York is one of them. I guess the ban is because there is a greater sense of awareness about the adverse effects of trans-fats.

[Paramjit] That is one aspect of liquid calories. What I would like to point out are liquid calories in the form of lattes or carbonated drinks, just to name a few.
