TPP stands for the Trans-Pacific Partnership. This represents a trade agreement between countries regarding economic policies. This partnership can help bring new economic growth to the United States and to the Asia-Pacific region. There are currently twelve countries that make up the Trans-Pacific Partnership they are; Brunei, Chile, New Zealand, Singapore, United States, Australia, Peru, Vietnam, Malaysia, Mexico Canada, and Japan.
I believe that the Trans-Pacific Partnership will influence the United States economy by opening new market opportunities for the U.S. to participate in. This will help promote jobs and economic growth throughout the United States and across the Asia-Pacific region. The Trans-Pacific Partnership can help open up new jobs for American manufacturers, workers, service providers, farmers, and so on to support this new job creation and wage growth. China would profit greatly from the new U.S. jobs being offshored into their country due to a lower cost of operations. The new jobs occurring in china would help raise their economy financially and increase the low to middle-income family wages. In doing so, it gives the Chinese population more purchasing power to invest their money abroad or buy more high priced products that they could not afford before. However, china does not seem very enthusiastic about the Trans-Pacific Partnership agreement. China feels that under this agreement the United States will have the power to write the future rules of global economy.
