A survey will be sent to each learner two weeks prior to the training. This survey is designed to discover the learners expectations of the training and their goals as a leader. The data from the survey will then be used to finalize the design of the training in hopes that we can align most of their expectations and goals. As perviously stated, lean is not the most favorite topic to learn or discuss at MHLB and negative emotions may effect the productivity of the training if these insights were shared as a group. A professional strength that I have is patience which is a powerful skill when learning something new and working with diverse populations. I also have the strength of problem solving which I find helpful when I have to make decisions on the spot that have long term consequences. Finally, I take great responsibility for my work and persona, which means I take responsibility of my bias when working with people and also producing excellent work. After working with children, I have learned that one of my weaknesses is being permissive. I was culturally raised to be agreeable and I am taking steps to have a more active voice.…
An example of how theory informed practice in my field placement as a case manager intern is when I encountered a patient that had be discharged to a nursing home facility. The client wanted to be discharged home, where he lives alone, rather than to a nursing home, where he will be safe from falling. I decided to use the family centered practice approach to help the patient feel more at ease and be provided with his daughter’s support. According to Lietz, family centered practice is a strength-based approach that focuses on the strengths within the family to provide them with a proper intervention that will uniquely work for them (2011). Also, as a form of respect, social workers should be aware of the client’s cultural differences when introducing…
What if all the exercise training in the gym brought little results due to one fixable problem with a simple solution? Muscle building is a substantial biological stressor that requires appropriate rest and proper nutrition. After a training session, nutrients are depleted from the body and needs to be restored for muscles to have the fuel to begin repairing and rebuilding. According to Schoenfeld and Aragon, timing is a known approach involving consumption of protein and carbohydrates before, during, and post workout trainings. The window of opportunity for refueling is within a thirty-minute time frame post-training (Placeholder1).…
The next step for our presentation would be to think about the logical sequence of the slides, as we ran out of time to put them in proper order. Personally, I believe that our group’s strengths included respecting each other and being productive. I say that one of our strengths involved respect because this helped everyone’s voices be heard, which in term helped improve the quality of our presentation. Our other strength that involved productivity defiently helped us finish the assignment because we knew that we had to stay organized and on task.…

Training a Team vs. Individuals Similarities Goal setting, behavior modeling, practice, and feedback are basic aspects of training similar in both team and individual training environments (Cascio, 2006, p. 288). Goals must be clearly defined to address the training objectives when training a team or individual. Behaviors to be learned must first be demonstrated and then practiced by trainees in a group or individual setting. In addition, circular feedback from trainer to trainee and trainee to trainer is a basic aspect of both team and individual training.
