Training has been defined by Gorden (1992,235) as the “ planned and systematic modification of behavior through learning events, activities and programs which result in the participants achieving the levels of knowledge, skills, competencies and abilities to carry out their work effectively”.
Training also can be identified as a “ learning process that involves the acquisition of knowledge, sharpening of skills, concepts, rules, or changing of attitudes and behaviors to enhance the performance of the employees” (Ul- Ameeq, Hanif, 2013).
A study for (Branine & Pollard, 2010) assured that Managers with a high level of Ihsan which is “one of the principles of an Islamic management system” promotes the training and development of their employees

The Islamic principles and values that need to be asserted in training are deeds and knowledge (Surah al-Alaq: 3-5)8, understanding the wisdom of Allah 's Greatness and the concept of working as Allah’s vicegerent (Surah Baqarah: 31)9, teamwork (Surah al-Saff: 4)10, to give full Submission to Allah (Surah al-Zumar: 14)11 and to succeed (al-falah), i.e. success in thisworld and the hereafter.
Islamic training and development practice also emphasize physical training. For example, during the Prophet’s time, the companions were trained with horse riding and archery whilethe women were on giving food to the injured soldiers and nursing them (Ngah, 2004).
Thus, the employees in these modern days should be sent to training centers according to their needs in order to be more competent in their work. The training has to be conducted regularly (Junaidah, 2008).
