In Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, Romeo’s causes the most issue in the story. All the characters partake in Romeo’s flaw; to not thinks before they take action. This causes multiple deaths and it drives an even bigger wedge between Romeo and Juliet’s relationship. Proving that no good can come out of rash decisions. They constantly fight and can barely stand to look at each other. This is the case with Tybalt, Mercutio and Romeo. The Montagues decide to go to the Capulets party and when tybalt sees them he is completely enraged. The families are constantly provoking one another. After this Tybalt send a letter requesting to fight Romeo, but Mercutio steps to to fight the battle. This is a very bad and rational decision by Mercutio. He knows how good of a fighter Tybalt is but still wants to fight him because of how much hatred there is between the two families. They meet in the middle of town. A chaotic environment. Tybalt tries to fight Romeo but Mercutio does not let him. He begins teasing him “[to Tybalt] Tybalt you ratcatcher will you walk?” -Mercutio (act 3,sc.1,76), thus making it an even worse situation for Mercutio and Romeo. Teasing Tybalt was a very bad idea, Mercutio was being very irrational knowing that he could not beat Tybalt in a fight and would not be leaving the town centre alive. This one decision causes a ripple effect that ruins Romeo and Juliet's relationship for good. He fights Tybalt and gets slain, “Ask for me tomorrow and you shall find a grave man.”
