Tragic Events Leading To The Death Of Hannah Baker

Decent Essays
If Alex would of never made a hot or not list none of the tragic events would have happened throughout the story/life. He’s the main reason any of the stories ever happened, tragedy after tragedy which of course we all know lead to the death of Hannah Baker. People started to take advantage of her when all she wanted was someone to care of her. Someone who wouldn't take advantage of her because she was on a list for best ass freshman class. This ruined her reputation because this was giving her the title as a slut. Not all of the people in the story are as bad as this story.

Disability is often used as a device to drive a narrative’s plot forward. So, in Fatal Attraction Alex is characterized as mentally ill and a violent character in order to portray her as the villainous antagonist. Longmore described in “Screening Stereotypes” that giving disabilities to villainous characters reinforced the idea that people with disabilities resent people that are not disabled and would destroy them by any means. As demonstrated in the film, Alex despised that Beth can live a happy, normal life with Dan while she is all alone. As a result of her jealousy and her violent nature, Alex attempted to kill Beth in the bathroom.…

In the scheme to defraud the orphaned girls out of their rightful inheritance, the deception is all the more brutal as it is delivered under the guise of kindness. Again, the cruelty of the king betrayal by selling him into slavery is particularly heart wrenching as Huck and Jim had previously saved the con men early in the story when the two were escaping trouble and begged to be let onto the raft. However, Twain shifts the focus of cruelty when in an ironic twist the predators become the victims.…

Among a few additional ones, these two “others” are distinguished and work to dishevel prejudices and common beliefs in the hit MTV series Faking It. The plot of Faking It follows two best friends, Amy and Karma, who desperately desire to be popular though, as freshmen at a large, Texan high school, it is difficult to find a way to distinguish…

Chris McCandless died alone in the Alaskan wild while living completely off of the land. “Some readers admired the boy immensely for his courage and noble ideals:” while “: others fulminated that he was a reckless idiot, a wacko, a narcissist who perished out of arrogance and stupidity-and was undeserving of the considerable media attention he received” (Krakauer xi). These quotes represent the feelings of many who read Into The Wild, but most people ignore the important aspects of Chris McCandless’ personality and his self imposed purpose.
