Message of the play: Do not let your pride,Handle you. Oedipus fate was sealed by his actions of pride and determination. His pride of conquering the sphinx led him to the marriage of Jocasta ,his Mother . He was Blinded by his pride to the concept that perhaps he was the murderer of King Laius ,his Father . Pride prevented him to Believe and makes him blind to see the truth. We shall not be afraid of knowing the truth Because that truth is already Destined to us and the Fate that is given to each one of us is coming from God. We Cant Change our fate .

The story started in the city of Thebes which is suffering a plague So Oedipus sent his brother-in-law to Apollo to ask the oracle what to do . When Creon returns , He announced that the only way to end the plague is to find out who was the murderer of king Laius , The previous king before him. The people of Thebes suggest that Oedipus must consult Tieresias. , the blind prophet . But Tiresias first rufuses to speak but finally accuses Oedipus himself of Killing King Laius . So Oedipus get angry and leave the blind prophet . As the investigation proceed , A messenger arrives From Corinth with the news that his Father Father polybus is dead (king of Corinth) .They rejoices but still afraid of the remaining oracles prophecy . Then The witness came , They knew that the witness was the one of the servant of king Laius and Told Him that Oedipus is the one who killed king laius . Coincidentally the sole witness of Laius murderer is also the man who gave the baby to the shepherd . And Finally the shepherd revealed the truth that polybus is not his real father But instead the son of king Laius and Jocasta . Then Oedipus find Jocasta hanged Herself so that he takes a brooches and gouges his eyes . Now Blinded and disgraced , Oedipus begs Creon to let him leave the city . The background was dark . In Terms of the costume , I must begin by saying that the costumes were stunning. As we can see all the actors or the dramatist all wear masks of a monstrous and grotesque nature. And that mask is part of their tradition .I am amazed to the cast , they are all good . Ive noticed that all the cast members are completely covered by their gowned, masked and gloved , There was no skin appears on stage to break the illusion. While the masks were all three-quarter, cut to allow the audience to see the mouth and jaw of the actors .The entire play takes place within a ludicrously small space, a raised platform that looks like an altar for a blood sacrifice, surrounded by a featureless blue-grey cyclorama. The stage of this play was so simple undecorated wooden
