The service is designed to allow people to board one of these buses and fly over the traffic. With there being such a high demand for there to be another option for people to commute on I-35, this would become appealing to people because of the idea of someone else driving and being able to go over the traffic. The buses will be featured with …show more content…
The fact is that with the fact that people would think that the crafts would be unsafe would be expected with it being a new idea but with that argument in mind, there would immense testing on the safety and reliability of the crafts. Plus, we would follow the safety guidelines and protocols of the FAA being that the crafts do go up in the air. The other argument suggested that the project would be too expensive and that there would need to be a lot of funding for the idea to “get off the ground” so to speak. In response I would like to say that there wouldn’t be an extreme mass production of the crafts but that there would be a small production to start out. Another thing to add about the cost would be for the tickets and annual passes for the trips to different stops, the price would depend on where you are traveling to and where I the bus you would be sitting. It would be just like an airplane where you have your first class, executive business, premium economy, and economy/coach. Another argument would be the availability for people to be able to ride, it would be like an airport or train station/subway where you go up to a kiosk or a ticket counter and buy a ticket or use the annual pass. Two other options would to be able to construct an app for your phone or be able to go online and reserve a ticket beforehand and not have to wait in line for a ticket. If the …show more content…
The idea of building a railway system between downtown San Antonio and Austin was fantasized by people for years but never got the funding it needed follow through. Another thing about it is that with all the construction it would slow the flow of traffic even more and at the rate of people moving in the idea of upgrades would be pointless. “There has been a growing recognition that Interstate 35, regardless of the many proposed upgrades, will not ever be capable of efficiently moving people in the region.” (Passenger rail vital, needs fresh start Austin American-Statesman (TX) - August 7, 2016). The idea of having toll lanes put into place was brought up by State Sen. Kirk Watson, he thought that by building the lanes that it wouldn’t just speed up the traffic but it would also create revenue for future projects in the future. But the project was very costly with the projected cost being be approximately $4.2 billion to $4.6 billion. This would put a huge dent in spending for other projects even if it was paid over time in increments that weren’t so vastly large. Plus, it was planned to be not be paid by property taxes in Austin and that the road would pay for its self over time. “Using such local funds instead of state funds to build toll lanes on I-35 allows the project to circumvent state prohibitions against using transportation dollars to construct toll lanes,
