Tracking Student Activities Essay

Decent Essays
Tracking student activities might be difficult for some clinical instructors to make it because clinical instructors need the time to prepare and think about it. Clinical teachers have also responsibility to make appropriate tracking student activities so that nursing students have opportunity to acquire nursing knowledge and experience during clinical sites. I believe clinical assignment sheet 3 is best form to use for tracking student activities during clinical setting. This is because this form has essential information more than other two forms. This form includes necessary instructions such as title of the form (nursing students clinical plan), clinical focus for week, LPN students, RN students experience, level of clinical, student, patient, and comments. It has also important things for instance, teaching, Drsg changes, Foleys, IV-maintain, IV - initial, meds - IV, meds – PO, meds IM/SQ, charting, assessment, VS, bath,

Whereas, it needs to add some essential things such as nursing care, level of student, comments, level of clinical, clinical focus for week, and patient condition.
The clinical assignment sheet two might reasonable because it involves student, patient, room number, diagnosis, labs, VS, diet, and medications. However, clinical instructor needs to add some necessary things for example, title of assignment, level of clinical, level of student, clinical focus for week, comments, clinical instructor, department, date, and time. If tracking student activity has all of that information, it will be easy and clear for clinical instructor to understand the assignment accurately and
