I learnt to be dedicative through running when no one else would. When my parents had to focus on serious family problems, it was then I began to do poor academically. My parents didn’t care about how I did in school, so why should I care was how I truly felt. In my four years of high school my mentality would have been the same, had I not joined my schools Track and Field team. My first year of doing Track & Field I was not motivated to do good in the sport. I had told myself I was there to get out of P.E. which was fine until it came time to race. I was utterly demolished in my races and felt ashamed to be in the team. However, those races made me understand that you have to be very dedicated to everything you do. After those humiliating
