By that I mean, from the hundreds of toys I saw for boys, they mainly included guns, war sets, tool kits, building sets, and construction perihelia. Every aisle for boys consisted of those items listed previously and as society claims, those are only for boys. For this reason, boys will learn their role and acquire skills just by simply playing with these toys. Boys are supposed to be aggressive, dominant, and strong. Also, these toys can give boys the skills that are fundamental to their future jobs. Such as, how to use a screwdriver, how to use a hammer, and how to build items. Not only that, but they are suppose to be protective. A lot of the toys showed police officers, firefighters, and doctors. Which is the process of learning customs, norms, and values of a social group. Consequently, the evil nature of society springs up as stereotypes dehumanize genders. Society not only created gender roles, they also created stereotypes that will forever haunt us. Men are supposed to protect us, be aggressive, and be superior compared to women. Whereas woman, they will be forever cursed with the 18th century ideology. Stay at home mothers that bake, clean, take care of children, and most importantly, and be inferior to the male population. Thus, the fate of everyone is ultimately controlled by society. From the day you are born, your behaviors, actions, and profession is already predetermined for you. There is no room for you to be different without facing harmful repercussions. Any signs of someone behaving out of their gender will lead to discrimination, because they are not acting like how are they are suppose to.
