Compliance with legal mandates
Toys R Us code of ethic extensively addresses legal mandates and legal behavior.
In the code of ethics, there are numerous legal issues addressed.
There is a whole section on the code of ethics that address legal ethical conduct and a complete description of legal issues that could occur have been listed as well. It outlines actions and behaviors that are a violation of the law. Specific illegal practices such as insider trading.
Also indicated is steps to take to report violations of laws or illegal conduct that is witnessed within the organization. Toys R Us will not allow retaliation for their staff that file a report and Toys R Us indicate

Paradigm Toys will address ethical consequences of three IT issues.
1. Monitoring sites visited by employees
Paradigm will install a software on all computers that will block access to certain sites on the Internet. A written policy is established that clearly will list acceptable uses for company computers. This policy will list consequences for not following this policy and it will also list Paradigm’s right to monitor their employees Internet usage.
Consequences for improper internet usage for employees would start with a verbal warning. The next step would be a written warning if the behavior continued. A decision making leave day would be the next step and eventually termination of employment if the behavior did not improve. Richmond (2012)
2. Sharing of client or employee data
It will never be acceptable for a Paradigm employee to access or share client or employee information. No staff are permitted to share confidential records or confidential information pertaining to employees or clients. At all times Legal department of Paradigm will be included regarding situations regarding sharing this
