My Journey to Success
Ever since I was young, I’ve always wanted to change the world. I suppose I obtain this notion from watching superhero shows as a kid. However, unlike the heroes on television, I didn’t have any powers; consequently, I decided to think of new ways to change the world. Thus, I came up with the idea of recycling. Annually, we dump over two billion tons of waste into landfills; therefore, I wanted to find a way to eliminate this pollution to save the earth. I also began to contemplate about how to save the people of earth. At that moment, I considered joining the health field. Towson University is my dream college for several reasons” it’s a prestigious school and it’s affordable. The university is located in Baltimore which allows me to stay in Maryland. Thus, I’ll still be able to receive Maryland’s grants that will assist in making college more affordable. However, price isn’t the only reason why I have a desire to attend Towson. Towson offers countless opportunities for students interested in the medical field such as pre-medical program and pre-pharmacy advising. Overall, Towson is a phenomenal place for me to build a foundation in my medical career. Majoring in biology will provide me the chance to learn more about the human body; accordingly, this will allow me to become an exceptional physician. Furthermore, computers have become a necessary component of everyday life; computing jobs have been increasing over the past years. Hence, majoring in computer science will open up numerous opportunities. Unfortunately, if I wish to major in biology and minor in computer science, I’ll need a large amount of money to support this endeavor. Therefore, if I’m granted this scholarship, I’ll be able to establish this journey. Consequently, when I graduate from college with my degrees, I’ll be able to start my career as a computer programmer. I’ll utilize the money I make from my career and from this scholarship to pay for my years in medical school, so I can become a physician. As a result, granting me the scholarship would be a wise investment, for it will help me save countless lives in the
