Politics is a part of human nature, an unavoidable part. Even though this is a common characteristic among all human beings, how politics are ran differs among each population. This population could be an entire country or that of a small county in Wisconsin, I attended a Waukesha County Town Hall meeting. I learned a lot from this meeting, but what this meeting specifically taught me about American politics was that there is a severe lack of diversity in those who represent us and also those who participate in public forums. Along with the lack of diversity, there was an alarmingly large sense of ignorance in the council members participating in the debate.…

In 2008, there was a historical presidential race taking place between Barack Obama and John McCain. John McCain was a seventy-two year old Republican, who's campaign became extremely difficult because his running mate Sarah Palin was oblivious when it came to foreign or domestic policy, in addition to the 2008 Republican President's low approval rating and the financial crisis. Eventually, as the race dwelled on, Obama won the hearts of voters. “Obama carried not only Democratic strongholds in New England, the mid-Atlantic states, the industrial Midwest, and the West Coast but also states that had been reliably Republican for years. He cracked the solid South, winning Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida.…

Trump has made it very clear that he wants to repeal and replace Obamacare. One of Trump’s biggest mottos based on the health care is that he “will not let people die on the streets,” he also says we need to take care of our own who can’t take care of themselves. It’s pretty much an all or nothing kind of ordeal going on. He wants to keep protections so that people with pre-existing conditions cannot be denied health insurance. He has made a call for medicaid to be transformed into a state block grant program and for the tax exemption on employer-based health insurance plans to be extended to individuals who purchase coverage on their own both longstanding.…

He started his career after grad school with a small non-profit research organization. His leadership abilities were quickly realized and he became a part of a large company as a Project Manager. He recalls that in his first job, the small size of the company and the nature of operations meant that soon after joining the firm, he started taking up multiple responsibilities with many being outside of his core functional role.
