What the parents do, or at least should do, is to support their daughter, provide her tampons, take her to the doctor, and all this girl things. However, neither her mother nor her father helped her in that way. First, Jasira had to steel from Mrs. Vuoso, and then she had to ask Melina to buy her some. Her father is a man and he doesn’t know exactly how to deal with woman problems, but he should provide her support, because it’s not an easy issue to handle by oneself in the very first times. Her mother, even that she is leaving far away, should ask Jasira if she needed help or demand Daddy to help Jasira, but she did nothing. When she just got to Daddy, she wanted to return home so bad, but then he would rather Houston than Syracuse. However, it doesn’t she preferred Daddy than Gail. Jasira wanted to live with her father because she has met new friends, such as her boyfriend Thomas, Melina, and Mr. Vuoso. Jasira wanted to stay away from her father as much as possible. She preferred her mother than her Daddy because her mother cuddle Jasira more often, and Daddy was rude at her, he didn’t care about her, and he did hit her.
