Tourism is becoming increasingly important as a source of revenue of many countries. It accounts for a significant share of GDP and employs a substantial proportion of the labor force. Furthermore, it is considered an important industry in many countries. It helps improve the economy of developing countries and provides employment for many people such as Vietnam. In addition, it not only helps to solve the problems of unemployment, but also has positive effects on many economic activities, such as transport, construction, accommodation and other services. Although having many advantages, its disadvantages should not be overlooked. In this paper, we will find out about what advantages and disadvantages that tourism brings.
Nowadays, tourism is the flourishing industry of the world with many advantages and the first advantage of it is increasing employment opportunities. It plays an important role in stimulating higher growth, reducing regional asymmetries and creating employment. Moreover, it provides employment for many people in the world, especially local people. It gives them jobs at hotels, bars, shops, restaurants and help them raise their income.

It not only helps to generate jobs, but also boosts the economy. Despite the numerous advantages of tourism in the economic development, we cannot afford to overlook its disadvantages. It exposes local culture to outside influence and leads to the dilution of their. In addition, the local may be influenced by tourists's bad habits. Moreover, with heavy tourist traffic, environmental damage and pollution to local regions is inevitable. We should come up with appropriate solutions to solve the problems of tourism. For example, we can teach local people to be proud of their own culture and not to copy the lifestyles of tourists.
