The protagonists in the books Touching Spirit Bear and Devil's Arithmetic have a lot of difficulties in the books. In these books they both have similarities and differences, but they have mostly differences because in Touching Spirit Bear has a boy named Cole that is trying not to go to jail. The Devil's Arithmetic has a girl named Hannah that is trying not to go to the seder, than later is trying not to die in the Holocaust. While Cole and Hannah have similarities and differences, they both have to go through some challenges.
