Totaltarian Society In Ayn Rand's Anthem

In Equality's totaltarian society Equality realizes that his individual rights are being suprressed because of his government wanting full control over all of the people. In Anthem, Equality says it's a sin to write this because they can't think for themselves. By the end of the book equality realizes that thee society he is living in is oppressive; moreover, his character changes to the point that he wants individual freedom

Equality society is very suprressive and likes to keep everyone on lock down and not let them do anything but their job they are assigned. The Council of Scholars, which is the government basically of this totaltarian society. They create and enforce the laws for the people and limit there freedoms. Some crimes are even punishable by death. The word “I” doesn't even exsist in there world. The Council of Scholars

Wether it be not listening to the rules or or liking a women for more than he should. In the book equality slowly starts thinging for him self. One good example of that is when he finds the hole that goes underground. The only reason he really found it in the first place is because when he was doing his job, he wondered off exploring. Right at that moment is when he started thing for him self more . He thinks for himself though because he's different from everyone else like he doesn't want to do the same thing every day, being miserable in that failed corrupt infrastructure called a society. When he starts falling in love with liberty, thats not allowed . Everyone is suppose to be liked and treat the same. Equality even gave he a nickname called the “Golden One”. Major one is when he finds electricity, he was going to tell everyone like the council of Scholars, but he was afraid that they would punishhime for doing something wrong.
