Cher's fashion is my dream if I was a teen in the 90s; from wearing her iconic yellow plaid ensemble to her Calvin Klein dress, Her style is a key component for why the movie, Clueless, is so popular ( other than her fabulous personality! ). I wasn't able to recreate most of the outfits in this movie, but after looking at many, many outfits from this movie I found her gym outfit easier to replicate. This article is similar to the article “The Fashion Industry: Free to Be an Individual” by Hannah Berry, because both articles speak on how women need to embrace their individuality and reach deep inside of themselves and allow that to show in every aspect of their lives. Each and every woman is free to be exactly who she wants to be, no matter what anyone else thinks. For example, in the comedy, 30 Rock, Liz Lemon “wore Duane Reade bags for underwear” (Nussbaum 57) and decided to be a cheerleader and shake her butt as an older lady. This showed she didn’t care what others thought and was comfortable just being herself. NEED STUFF…

Contrary to her female foils, she remains steadfast to her feminist intent, persistently refusing to concede to the highly mainstream views of the society that women should elevate their chances of marriage with a man of good fortune.
