“Lying”
How do you feel torwars lying if its okay or not? In the articles that I read they were four different

points of view, whether lying is okay or not. In these articles each author had their own opinion on how they

felt toward lying for example, in one of the article one author that said that to always telling the truth,

whether it’s to save someone life from dangers.I think that you can lie sometimes only if you're doing it to

save somebody life.

In my opinion I think that you can lie sometimes. For example, imagine if your dad went to

the doctor and found out he has cancer and you kept it a secret between you and him because

your mom has a heart problem so you would have to lie to her that everything went well because If

Lastly, another reason why you would lie sometimes would be if imagine your friend got

the worst haircut there were to be and he says does it look good on me, but being his best

friend i would say yes, because i wouldn't want to hurt his feelings because then he would

be mad at me if i told him the truth that his hair looks so dumb on him. So be telling the lie

you save ones of guy friendships.

In the article “Rejecting All lies: Immanuel Kant” argues that Sissela Bok

discusses that you should never lie because it's moral insult-perhaps because

even for legal action or duel; to be proved a liar could lead to self-exile of shame

and even worse, it harms the liar himself , by destroying his human dignity and

making him more worthless even than a small thing. I disagree with Sissela

because if you are always tell the truth want is a lie depended on saving

someone life.

For the reasons above, I agreed that sometimes lying is okay weather if you're

saving a life or keeping your friendship if something your friend has doesn't look good on

Why Is It Ok To Lie

Is it ok to lie in any situation, or is it just wrong to lie at all ? In four articles that I read, it states a couple of things, for example, they talk about lying and if it's bad, is lying sometimes good, and is lying good. I believe lying is only good sometimes and it should only be used in white lies. I think a good time to lie is when you protect someone. One scenario of this is the story of Ann Frank.this is a good example because they were protecting Ann and her family by saying that there was nothing upstairs.…

    1. According to Ericsson, we all lie because we want to avoid confrontation, spare people’s feelings, and to get out of particular situations. To avoid confrontations, sometimes it is necessary to lie, for example, if you were talking about someone behind their back and they hear about it, you are going to deny that you ever talked bad about that person to avoid getting into an alteration. If someone is wearing an ugly outfit that they are real proud of, you are most likely going to lie to them by telling that someone that you love their outfit just to avoid hurting their feelings.…

In the essay The Ways We Lie by Stephanie Ericsson, she mentions on how she discovered that telling the truth all the time is nearly impossible because it would be living with some serious consequences. Throughout the history of the United States and other parts of the world, a high percentage of people tend to not be able to tell the truth when they are asked simple questions by members of their family or by their close friends. As telling the truth may have consequences, telling lies may have deeper consequences that cannot only hurt the person telling the lie, but it can affect the person being lied to. Being known as a liar can cause problems in a relationship because it will bring on trust issues and can also cause one’s partner to overthink…

In “The Ways We Lie” by Stephanie Ericsson she discusses and breaks down the activity of lying into different kinds of lies. Ericsson goes into great detail of about 10 of them, but there are many more. Some lies are for your peace of mind and maybe still bad for both parties, and some are for the better of someone else’s feelings. Ericsson believes that even if you feel you are perfect, nobody is and still tell lies no matter big or small, we do it and at times are unaware that it is considered a lie. Individuals nowadays get to a point where they are lying and don’t know whether to believe themselves or others.…
