Destructive Tornadoes Of all natural disasters, tornadoes may be the most deadly. Death and destruction may follow such a storm. Even though tornadoes are one of the most deadly storms, they are formed in an interesting way.These storms might be deadly, but there are ways to be safe from these storms that cause major destruction. Tornadoes can come out of nowhere at any time, but if you are prepared, you will be safe. First, tornadoes are storms that are most common in spring and in summer in the U.S. These storms are most likely to form in Australia, Europe, Africa, Asia, and South America and in an area called tornado alley. Tornadoes also effect the environment by harming “the food chain.” Tornadoes effect the food chain by destroying plants, which leaves the herbivores with nothing to eat and effects the carnivores by not having nothing to eat. This also affects us by losing money. After a tornado, we have to build all of the destroyed buildings, which requires money. Apart from the destruction, the damaged or destroyed power lines can cause fires after the tornado. As said before, the damage caused by tornadoes is measured on the “Enhanced Fujita scale.” This scale tells us what type of tornado struck in the area. The tornado can be a one, two, three, four or a five based on the tornado’s wind speeds and the damage. Even though tornadoes can cause damage and be very harmful to the environment, there are ways to be safe. Finally, safety is the most important thing to keep in mind when there is a tornado.
