This film impacted the way I evaluated my life. Considering all the hardships the people of Tooksook, Alaska endured: being treated horribly for embracing their culture, young children having to learn how to provide for their families at a young age, and traveling to places in rigorous conditions. Nevertheless, those struggles were forgotten when, the game of basketball was being played; it brought the whole community together as one. As a result: brothers, sisters, teachers, grandparents, parents, and all others from the community traveled many miles by sled even to witness their local team compete in the basketball tournament, the gym was packed.
