Too Much Anxiety Among Basketball Players

No one can have too much enthusiasm; the more willing and excited one is to do something, the better they become at doing it. The most enthusiastic people are ones who are in national sports leagues, where they are exposed to the crowds almost every day and have to play at their best level. They must have a certain mindset that makes them seek victory, as it is the ultimate goal and what they are striving for. Less enthusiastic people never complete their goals and are limited to what they can accomplish. More eagerness means more opportunities for one to succeed; it also enforces a positive attitude for others and encourages them as well. Basketball players have high motivation from themselves, and strive to win games. One such example would be Charlotte Hornet, Jeremy Lin. Coming into the league, he was looked down upon by peers, by fans, and even by the NBA. His race was one that clearly stood out, as he was the second Asian American to be accepted into the league. Fans didn’t have high hopes for him; what could a 6’3” weak Asian do? Lin, however, had a different mindset. His enthusiasm encouraged him to improve overall made him a better player. Many people have experienced the feeling where they get failing grade in one of their exams. What’s their reason? Is it because they didn’t have enough time to study, or really because they procrastinated and waiting until the last second?
