Over the last couple decades, abortion laws have been debated very heavily. Both opposing sides of the argument bring forth many great points, but nobody actually understands what is politically correct. Scientist and religious figures have been researching and writing papers over the matter for decades. Abortion should only be allowed in certain cases of rape or incest. This would eliminate the problem tremendously. Abortion in today’s society is a major problem.

She had recently visited the organization's website, where it claimed that RU-486 was "extremely safe.” (Wright 2). If killing innocent bystanders on the street is a crime, why is killing developing babies not one? It should be. Should the government focus on teenagers or middle-aged women who mess around? No one actually has the correct answer, but a few actions can guide the abortion rates towards extinction. Offering more extensive sexual education classes in high school will force kids to realize the outcomes of their actions. Higher abortion costs would decrease pregnancies in the young and poor, nevertheless it could also lead to more painful home abortions. Decreasing rape and incest rates would ergo decrease abortion rates on a small scale. This approach could be taken on by charging rapists with a more severe criminal sentence.
