In an industry full of competitors, TOMS and Nike both thrive through different means and resources. TOMS focus’ on the conscious consuming with positive product impact through various charitable campaigns the company has partnered with. Nike on the other hand emphasis’ its resources on marketing. Nike wants to show the consumer that if you want to be the best you must buy the best.

TOMS stands out from the rest with a platform which differs its products from the others. The main goal of the company is to give back with every purchase a consumer makes. To make this possible TOMS has created a campaign called One for One. With every sale from shoes, backpacks, and eyewear TOMS plan to give back to the communities that need assistance the most. Through sales of their products, they provide various groups of individuals with free shoes, medical assistance in regard to eyesight, clean water, and anti bullying programs.
