James crept away from Lazarinth before he had to fight his way through the main hall. He had no wish to attract any attention to his friend. James had walked the castle halls many times, and knew that after the main hall he had to run down a hallway, and then take the left at the end of the hallway. James judged his options, and figured that the best strategy here would be to run for it. James bolted towards the door kicking a ghoul in the head in the process. Every ghoul in the room turned towards him ,and let out a horrible shriek. James ran towards the end of the hallway, and about halfway through the hallway several ghouls came out of the doorway he planned to enter. James came to a hard stop, and turned around The ghouls behind him were gaining, and James had no time to think. “In here!” yelled a voice from James’ left. “What is it?” eagerly asked Tom. “Everyone stand away from the door and help me move this shelf once I’m done Tom,” ordered James. James spread the Dragon powder around the door, and then he and Tom pushed a bookshelf in front of the door. “Everyone into the cellar!” shouted James. James lit the bookshelf on fire, then ran down into the cellar, and shut the cellar door. After a couple seconds of waiting a loud boom sound came from above, and James opened the door to see the shelf was gone, and where it and the door had been there was a large hole in the wall with several dead ghouls around it. “Follow me!” shouted James.
James ran out of the room, and into the room that lead him upstairs. The explosion attracted several ghouls, and other creatures, but the group of five had no problems eliminating them along the way. They finally reached the door to the second floor of the castle, and opened it to hear DgaFi roaring from somewhere. “What’s the matter dwarf? Tired already?” shouted DgaFi as he hollered with
