Imhotep, also known as Imuthes, was an Egyptian philosopher, poet, architect, healer, engineer and physician from 27th century BC. He rose through ranks to become the high priest of immense fame and following. He came to be worshiped as a God, respected as a healer and was considered as a deity. He became popular as "Prince of Peace".
His proverbs contained a philosophy of life and he commended contentment and preached cheerfulness. His philosophy can simply be summed up through his preaching of "Eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we shall die".
