Sources 4 and 5 have many similarities. The description of Tomoe Gozen does align with the qualities of a samurai warrior as said in the Bushidō code. This is done as the text states that "its basis lies first in seriously devoting one's body and soul to his master". This is proved because Source 4 tells us that Tomoe Gozen "performed more deeds of valour than any other of his warriors".
Some differences is that Source 4 refers to Tomoe Gozen only, but Source 5 tells us the way that all samurai should behave. Another difference is that in Source 4 it says that a Tomoe Gozen is beautiful. Source 5 doesn't tell us that woman need to be beautiful to be a samurai. This tells us that woman were not thought of a samurai
