Tommy Lee Speeches

Hey, that's right it's me, the best in the business. No need to get star struck, I promise.(pause for laughter) I may be the best drummer, from the best band, with the best set, but I hope you can handle the radical emanating off this stage. (Shrug) Oh right, for those of you who don't know, my name's (point to self) Tommy Lee. The famous drummer of Motley Crüe, one of the best bands of this decade. You probably are just here for the autographs at the end, but you're going to sit through this and you're going to like it.(pause for laughter) By the end of this, you're either going to think I'm a really successful man, or an egotistical loser that just so happens to be talented. Well, my- er... our- talent is mostly in the …show more content…
See, Motley Crüe is a band of four rockin' maniacs (bows slightly). I, Tommy Lee, for those who came in late, am the drummer. My band mates are the vocalist Vince Neil, guitarist Mick Mars, and bassist Nikki Sixx. We've had five albums so far, and just so none of you fans get worried, there will be many, many more.

Our albums so far are pretty rad if you ask me (shrugs and pauses to check for laughter). The first one, Too Fast For Love released about 8 years ago, can't believe it's been that long. Surprisingly none of the songs made the charts, but it did hit number 77 out of 200! That's pretty freaking good for a first album! The next one came out... two years later I think? Shout at the Devil is my favorite by far. That one hit number 30, with two songs hitting charts. I think we have a thing where we do one album every two years, because Theatre of Pain came out in '85. We also have a thing where we jump up the charts a lot, 'cause this album hit number 7. Only one song hit the the charts, but the next album from '87, Girls, Girls, Girls, had two. Not much better song wise, but the album hit number two! And finally, onto the one you've alllllllll been waiting for...(drum rolls on leg)... the one, the onlyyyy... Dr. Feelgood (Pauses for applause, if none, says: "wow thank you for your support" with heavy sarcasm, then chuckles)! came out this year, has two songs that have hit charts, and I guess one could say, we're pretty

In Glenn Loury’s speech, “Is He One of Us? Reflections on Identity and Authenticity” (pp. 489-493), he delivers the 245th Opening Convocation to the students of Brown University. Loury addresses diversity, what role it plays, and the advantages it can bring to people’s lives. His supporting statements are puzzling and his justification falls short of being a well thought-out speech, as one might expect at an Opening Convocation. As his speech progresses, his direction becomes unclear with each new point he brings up.…

Ringo Starr couldn't have looked more cool, quiet or gathered. Two hours before he ventured before more than 6,000 fans at the Greek Theater, the ex-Beatle, not exactly a week short of his 76th birthday, respected a guest into his changing area as he loose in a seat, dressed monochromatically in a smooth dark coat, thin dark pants, coordinating T-shirt and sneakers. "The visit is incredible," he said of his most recent All-Starr Band, which wrapped a 21-show 2016 U.S. visit show with the sold-out homecoming show at the Greek. The lineup highlights guitarist-vocalist lyricist Todd Rundgren, Toto guitarist-artist Steve Lukather, Santana keyboardist-artist Gregg Rolie, bassist Richard Page, saxophonist-percussionist Warren Ham and drummer…

One of the most important parts of the civil rights movement was to be able to give a compelling speech that encourages the people to act and fight for what is right. One of the key speeches of the civil rights movement was John Lewis’s speech during the march in Washington on August 28th 1968 because of his way of persuading the audience. Although he was asked to make adjustments to his already powerful speech at the March on Washington, John Lewis uses rhetorical appeals to make his argument strong and persuasive. He uses emotion to show the horrors of what is occurring, logic to convey the reasons why there needs to be a change, and his credibility to show his involvement in the civil rights movement. First of all, Lewis was able to make his argument compelling by his use of emotion, or pathos.…

This world is full of people who have broken a law, little or small. Some are accounted for and some aren't. When Trayvon Martin was killed for instance, there were many rules broken by George Zimmerman & he walked free with murder. When people started to protest and express their feelings it didn't change a thing because he still got away with murder. In my honest personal opinion our voices can matter to us but to the higher ups it doesn't matter.…
