Tomi and Keet used to be great friends and had many things in common. But after the Pearl Harbor attack Keet’s attitude had changed. Now Tomi and Keet has many differences from each other. Tomi is kind, brave, and a good friend. But Keet is mean, scared, and rude. Tomi is kind and loyal to his friends and family members. For example on page 64 it says “As much as we grumbled at each other, Grandpa Joji was a rock in my life, and I’d missed him almost as much as I missed Papa.” which shows that Tomi cares about Grandpa Joji and is glad he is back home. But, Keet is mean to Tomi and his friends. He takes everything that is Japanese from Tomi, spy’s on him, and also threatens hims. On page 46 it says “Keet shrugged ime off, his eyes still pinned
