She said “I’ll give you my treasure, if you give me something else.” He knew that he just encountered the devil. He turned down her offer and started walking home. When he got home he told his wife about this deal with the devil. She became very interested and the next day she rode the trolleys in search of her. Tom’s wife packed a bag full of money and valuables from the house so she could make the deal. Later that afternoon, Tom came home to find that his wife and a lot of their stuff was gone. He ran out the apartment and toward the trolleys. He found his wife’s jacket and her cellphone on the trolley. He knew that she was gone because she’d never go anywhere without her

The Devil and Tom Walker is about a money hungry young man who makes a deal with the devil so he can receive Kidd the Pirates ancient treasure, but under certain conditions of course. At first I didn't like the story because honestly, I don't like the thought of the devil being in stories, but that's also what made this story interesting. You see, Tom and his wife were money hungry and they would do anything to get more money to live a better life, even if it meant they would be selling their soul, but in the end I started to really enjoy the story. I eventually liked this story because first off, I feel like not many authors write about the devil and people making deals with him, so I like that this piece is something different. This story actually reminded me of the song The Devil Went Down to Georgia by The Charlie Daniels Band because both stories have to do with making a deal with the devil and risking lives to get something valuable, which in Tom Walker's case, he wanted the treasure, but in the song, Johnny made the deal to get the golden fiddle.…
