Tom Walker Short Story

Tom Walker lived in Moscow, Russia, in a massive, upscale apartment building with his wife. They were both very avaricious people, wanting everything for themselves. Tom worked as a mostly corrupt mouthpiece, becoming rich off of over pricing lawyer fees. His wife was a chef at a top-level restaurant in Russia. His apartment is on the outskirts of Russia, near the outer borders of the city. He frequently traveled into the taiga, hiking around and advocating sticky situations; that is until one day when he heard a folk-tale of a creature who haunts the very woods. Tom Walker took off into the woods, enjoying a great snowmobile ride on the ice until he came upon a blighted building in the woods. Removing a torch from his snowmobile, he began to walk into the structure. A voice, a strong, heavy set Russian accent, harked to him from the building. “Tom Walker, why are you …show more content…
Most people say that Tom was tossed into the back of an old Volga to which Temb drove him off into the forest to the old building. What is known is that Tom’s corrupt soul walks the very forest at night, trying to lure in unsuspecting tourists and locals. On that very night, however, his home in the Urals collapsed when part of the mountain collapsed in the storm, causing it to be destroyed. Later the next day his offices in the courthouse and the hospital went up into an inferno best described by those as “An intense inferno of hell-fire”. (and his apartment building he used to live in also went up in flames). When the N.K.V.D arrived at his office and, before it burned, the money he had was turned into dust. On top of his bible was a paperwork, in his closet (where his other bible was) his clothing was on it. His bank accounts were found as defective and unusable, his belongings all burned and destroyed with no trace of their past
