Research Summary While researching Tom Stoppard and William Shakespeare I learned more about their lives and backgrounds. I researched what they did before writing and what other plays or books that they wrote about. Learning about the writer's background helps understand why the wrote the play and what they were trying to tell their readers. I wanted to tell my audience about Stoppard and Shakespeare’s background, so they can better understand their literature.
