Tom Petty’s narrative poem is about a man named Eddy and his rise and fall in fame. In the beginning Eddy graduated high school and then immediately moved to hollywood and met a girl. Later on the both of them got an apartment together and Eddy got a job as a bouncer and learned how to play guitar. After that Eddy made a record that hit the charts , and with that he got an agent and roady.
