Tom Delay Informative Speech

Decent Essays
Liked listening to Michelle Martin but something has happened since the election. It wasn't notable at first but there was a slow progression of her right wing beliefs hitting the airwaves.

On Saturday's show she had two political guests on, Tom Delay a convicted but later overturned criminal and Tom Perez, the newly appointed head of the DNC. When introducing Delay she became all giddy and when Perez was introduced it was like a matter of fact. The air time for Perez wasn't as long as Delays and she interjected his remarks into the interview with Perez.

Sundays show started off alright but took a quick nose dive when she introduced someone from the Freedom Caucus. That's when it was turned off. I'm sure she was going to give them credit

In Jennifer Price’s “The Plastic Pink Flamingo: A Natural History”, Price shapes the text into her view of the American culture. Through her use of words and context, we see that Price does not have a good deal of respect towards it. First of all, if a writer reveals how they feel about the United States through talk about pink, plastic flamingos, I’d have to say they don’t think too highly about our culture. Flamingos started growing in popularity ever since Miami Beach’s first grand hotel was named “The Flamingo” in 1910.…
