Toll House Cookies Research Paper

From the aroma of the kitchen to the delicious cookies coming out of the oven, homemade Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies have been a favorite for many years. Around the 1930s, Ruth Graves Wakefield created the Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookie. Throughout her early years of life before her creation in 1924, she had received her diploma of household arts from Framingham State University. Until 1930, she lectured on different types of food and was a dietician. After her career, her and her husband Kenneth acquired a tourist lodge known as the Toll House Inn, which was located in between Boston and Cape Cod. At the Toll House Inn, Ruth cooked meals for all of the guests and became popular for her delicious desserts that she had created. When she was making cookies one day, she noticed that she was all out of Bakers chocolate for her recipe. She knew that she had to substitute it with a different ingredient. She decided to use a semi-sweet chocolate bar which was a gift from Andrew Nestle who was in charge of the Nestle Chocolate Company. We make room on each baking sheet to make sure that each pan will be able to contain twelve drops of dough. Together, twenty-four cookies will be baking at one time. Next, we put the prepared cookie sheets into the preheated oven, and we set the timer for nine to eleven minutes. While the two baking sheets are in the oven, we then prepare the other two baking sheets by placing twelve more drops on each sheet. When the timer goes off, we open the oven to make sure the cookies look done. If they do not look done, we will put them back in the oven for two minutes. Once those cookies are done, we will pull them out and put the other two prepared baking pans into the oven. Following that, we set the timer again for nine to eleven
