Caudron?sp? sees this idea by believing that generation Xers are changing the idea of the workplace , they want it to be more fun and have more meaning. (source?) work can sometimes be monotonous and have little meaning, but younger generations are being proactive and taking it as a duty to become more involved in their work instead of just accepting the way things are.
Beyak sees “youth” as not overcoming the issue the younger generation has of employment. (he states that as long as 20-30 year olds like to be called “youth” instead of fully acceping adulthood and start fighting for more jobs and better wages, then they will always be limited to living too much within their potential(source?) in every generation, there are always limitations, the baby boomers fought for civil rights and generation X fights for more control over their lives.
