The article I read, was based upon the Diffusion of Innovation Theory which is, “Diffusion of an Evidence-Based Smoking Cessation Intervention Through Facebook.” The objective of the article was to examine the diffusion of an evidence-based smoking cessation application through Facebook social networks and identify specific intervention components that accelerate diffusion. There is still a demand for effective and a larger spread for tobacco cessation interventions. There have been many efforts to build effective online interventions for tobacco cessation. Their method to accomplishing this was using Facebook.
