The Industrial Revolution was a turning point in world history as it created both social and economical changes around the world. Socially, it increased population, as well as creating what is now known as the middle class, further expanding a more modern social hierarchy. Economically the industrial revolution increased trade, and boosted the economies of the countries in which fossil fuels were now more frequently exploited.
